IBM Research Scientist-Electrochemical Processes in YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, New York
The Research Scientist will conduct research and development in the area of electrochemical processes including electrodeposition, electroetching and electroless deposition.The Researcher will be involved in a team effort to invent, develop and demonstrate electrochemical processes for the fabrication of advanced logic and memory devices such as High electron mobility transistors (HEMT), Phase Change memory (PCM) and Magnetic memory systems (MRAM). Will conduct experimental studies to develop fundamental understanding of the mechanism of the chemical, electrochemical and surface kinetic processes involved. Theoretical analysis and interpretation of the of experimental data, presentation of the results in technical /executive review meetings and scientific conferences is a key part of the job. Interacting closely with clients and their expert teams to understand their needs and develop creative solutions to their problems in a timely manner is a critical part of the job. A Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics or a related area is required.
