The Offshore Structures Engineer provides technical support and assurance to projects and asset teams spanning across the entire life-cycle of fixed and floating structures. The primary objective of the role is to ensure the technical integrity of the design and construction of UK production facilities. The successful candidate is expected to create and deliver fit-for-purpose technical solutions and take ownership of matters relating to systems engineering design, structural concept selection, specification, construction, commissioning, operation and decommissioning activities.

Main accountabilities include but not limited to:
Provide technical assurance (Technical Authority level 3) of projects throughout asset life-cycle and apply Management Of Change (MOC) work practices. This is done through technical due-diligence and assurance during design, construction and commissioning of projects and operations,
Perform and verify structural engineering design and analysis work on fixed and floating offshore structures & their components and produce appropriate specifications and drawings,
Promote the application of new technologies and safety initiatives,
Capture, disseminate and apply internal and external learnings and have a strong safety and delivery mindset,
Manage risk at all levels and be accountable for the quality of technical work, functionality and structural integrity,
Undertake occasional site visits (onshore and offshore) to assess, review and monitor constractability of proposed designs,
Develop third-party interfaces and subcontracts,
Be inclusive by maintaining effective inter-discipline interfaces and interpersonal relationships to foster a wider range of ideas and solutions.
