Home Depot IB MANUFACTURING PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR, Aberdeen, NC in Aberdeen, North Carolina
Create the plans and schedules for manufacturing operations which will enable our team to meet or exceed customer expectations across all product offerings. Plans and schedules should effectively use the resources, people and equipment of the operation to avoid overtime and waste and support the group effort to meet the financial and operating objectives of the location.
MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
10%- Create and provide an annual production plan to be used for staff planning and equipment evaluation
20%- Create and maintain a quarterly production plan by item and work cell or Line which will provide the basic guidance for production schedules, staffing and RM purchases.
10%- On a weekly and daily basis, respond to exceptions and revise plan detail as needed.
35%- Develop, implement and maintain white boards, daily expedite tools and other means to simply and effectively communicate production needs to team members such that they manage the activity in their cells or at their equipment with minimal direction from management.
15%- Work with the Warehouse Operations Manager and Production Supervisor to assure inventory control in the Manufacturing area which will support the execution of the production schedule and the purchase of raw materials
10%- Work with the Site Operations Manager, the Production Supervisor and the Warehouse Operations Manager as a contributing team member focused on attaining the Site Operations Manager s overall objectives
NATURE AND SCOPE
Reports to Operations Manager. Has direct reports.
ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
Typically located in a comfortable indoor area. There may be regular exposure to mild physical discomfort from factors such as dust, fumes or odors, temperature extremes, loud noise, strong drafts, or bright lights.
Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
Must be eighteen years of age or older.
Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
Additional Minimum Qualifications:
Strong organizational skills. Strong computer and spreadsheet skills.
Good communications and interpersonal skills.
The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
Years of Relevant Work Experience: 5 years
Requires intermittent periods during which continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting material or equipment, some of which may be heavy or awkward.
Proven success in a "like role" production planner/schedule in a manufacturing environment
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:Ability to create and maintain complex spreadsheets in a data base format, excel
