CACI International Data Solution Architect in Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland

Job Description

CACI is seeking a Data/Solution Architect Part Time position to support a program at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD. This is a short-term assignment for a large financially-related Information Management Solution program that is being developed in an Agile/Scrum framework.

What you’ll get to do:

  • Capture and interpret the new and existing requirements in a holistic manner

  • Meet and interview project stakeholder to understand and elucidate the entire scope of requirements

  • Organize the requirements into an Agile/Scrum framework to capture Epics and Features of the project

  • Map out a strategy, procedure, or process that transitions the database from its current state to a data mart then data warehouse structure,

  • Recommend to the customer’s Product Owner and Change Control Board the most efficient way forward to implement existing and new requirements

  • Keep the Product Owner’s vision of the solution clearly in focus

  • Work with the Agile Development Team, Product Owner, and other stakeholders to understand current project requirements

  • Consulting, to the point of interviewing, the Product Owner and other customer stakeholders to understand the incoming requirements

  • Working with the project’s Business Analysts and Scrum Master to formulate requirements into usable Agile/Scrum User Stories, ready for input into the Agile Management tool

  • Organizing requirements into Epics and Features for the Information Solution and the project

  • Strategizing on the direction for the project that encompasses current, new, and probable future requirements; producing an understandable and implementable project roadmap

  • Producing a procedure to organize the data and databases into a data mart then data warehouse, recommending a path for data-handling maturity and developing Epic/Feature/User Stories to back this up

  • Providing reports that documents a recommendation on the Information Solution and project’s path forward

  • Consulting for and providing guidance to the customer’s Change Control Board for the project

More About the Position:

The Position can be supported remotely, but the position will require on-site support in establishing a relationship with the project’s many stakeholders. If not local to Aberdeen Proving Ground, the successful candidate should expect to spend time at Aberdeen Proving Ground.

You’ll Bring these Qualifications:

  • SECRET Clearance or higher

  • Robust understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle

  • Extensive knowledge of data, databases, and database administration

  • Extensive understanding of software development that makes extensive use of Microsoft-based programming like C#/ASP.NET, SQL Server, SQL Server Business Intelligence, and some Java platforming

  • Work with the U.S. Army, particularly the Army’s IT enterprises and procedures

  • Software Development experience is desired, especially a background in .NET front end and SQL Server back end development.

  • Knowledge of Business Intelligence integration and reporting programming and practices is a considerable plus

  • Understanding of the Department of Defense’s budget practices and human resource practices, direct experience with the Army is a definite plus
