Hilton Director, Revenue Management Support in Addison, Texas

Reporting to the Senior Director of Revenue Management Analysis and Support, you will be responsible for overseeing the global coordination of Hilton distribution initiatives across the customer touch points defined by each of our brands. You will also oversee the processes and opportunities associated with initializing new brands, hotels, programs and promotions within Hilton systems as well as proprietary and non-proprietary distribution channels.

What will I be doing?

As a Team Member in this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Executing strategies and directions for new hotel openings and evaluating efforts to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of the new hotel launch process in Hilton Distribution systems
  • Executing the strategic planning and coordination of programs and packages to advance company goals, while supporting and directing communication plans of key messages to internal and external stakeholders
  • Developing execution plans to implement the long-term goals of the department that become the basis for short term goals and annual operational planning
  • Developing the appropriate departmental objectives, processes and procedures for the business and directing the methodologies by which they are going to be accomplished in the most efficient and effective manner
  • Implementing the direction given by executive management to ensure the overall strategic direction of the department is consistent with and supported by Human Resources, Legal and Finance
  • Identifying and overseeing the resources and activities of the department and conferring and managing with key stakeholders and departments like Sales, Revenue Management, Customer Marketing, Distribution and IT, so objectives are accomplished
  • Directing the grouping of and assignment of Manager responsibilities to ensure optimal allocation of resources
  • Ensuring that the communication plan, as established by the department head, is properly executed
  • Implementing measurements and standards for the department to ensure effectiveness, usage, and awareness
  • Directing the development and administration of all automated processes
  • Providing direction and directives to the departmental Team Members in the performance of their duties, in establishing work priorities and in achieving management objectives
  • Executing the directives of the organization's mission, goals and objectives and demonstrating ongoing and direct motivation, communication, group dynamics and leadership
  • Managing effective partnerships with outside vendors, internal constituents and other departments and negotiating and monitoring the quality and the cost of services to support the operation
  • Owning and managing the New Hotels, Daily Operations, Projects and Technology teams
  • Ensuring appropriate talent is identified in compliance with department staffing plan and developing current talent to achieve greater strategic goals and performance
  • Determining staffing needs and overseeing the recruiting, selecting, hiring, training and developing of departmental Team Members
  • Working with direct reports on goals to assist in accomplishing department initiatives and their own career objective
  • Directing and implementing proper controls to ensure the effectiveness of the department
  • Translating organizational goals and objectives into performance standards for departments and individual positions
  • Assessing actual performance against standards to determine whether the department is on target to reach its goals and taking corrective actions as necessary
  • Ensuring that the business plan and goals are being followed and achieved, providing feedback or revising the plan, if needed
  • Establishing and enforcing policies and procedures that will improve the overall operation and effectiveness of the Company
  • Working within and establishing the departmental budget
  • Reviewing and making appropriate adjustments in activities and expenses throughout the fiscal year to ensure optimal financial results

What are we looking for?

To fulfill this role successfully, you must possess the following minimum qualifications and experience:

  • Minimum Education: BA/BS Bachelor’s Degree or minimum ten (10) years of work experience in any combination of revenue management, travel distribution technology, project management or technical roles
  • Minimum Years of Experience: Seven (7) years of experience in any combination of revenue management, travel distribution technology, project management or technical roles
  • Minimum Years of Management Experience: Four (4) years of supervisory experience
  • Additional Requirements (i.e. % of travel time, etc.):

  • Prior and recent budgeting and forecasting experience

  • High proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Some proficiency with Microsoft Access, VBA and SQL

It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

  • Education: MA/MS Master’s Degree
  • Minimum Years of Experience: Ten (10) years of professional experience
  • Minimum Years of Management Experience: Six (6) years of supervisory experience
  • Director or Assistant Director-level experience in a related job role
  • Project Management certification (PMP) or experience in managing both large and small scale initiatives across multiple functions, e.g. business, technical, and operational stakeholders
