a primary owner of publisher strategy for Oracle Data Cloud, this position acts

as a central hub for sales, account management, product, product marketing

(commercialization), and marketing to come together to form a centralized

publisher strategy and mission. This strategy is collaborative and will evolve

as the business and market continues to move forward, adding value and cohesion

to a hugely important Oracle customer group.

Candidate must be a

product thought leader who has interfaced with sales and solution functions,

with significant background in the publishing industry and experience working

across a variety of measurement, contextual targeting, DMP and audience

solutions. They should understand

important features and functionality for clients, all publishing use cases

supported by the Oracle Data Cloud platforms, and the competitive landscape

including strengths and weaknesses.

This position reports

to the Head of Publisher Strategy and will be part of a highly impactful

strategy team focused on bringing ODC’s products to their fullest potential

within the channel ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities:


with publisher leadership within the channel organization to build and refresh

a centralized strategy, identifying insights and priorities that will most

effectively help drive the publishing organization to meet its goals.


with marketing and commercialization teams to develop publisher collateral

across Oracle publisher solutions, incorporating internal and market feedback.

These are to include general presentations, one sheets, market facing

narratives, case studies and other materials.


the creation and execution of the publisher marketing calendar, in partnership

with the Oracle Data Cloud marketing team, which includes coordination of press

releases, blog posts, speaking and event opportunities, and generally

supporting Oracle’s publishing thought leadership efforts.


as a deep subject matter expert in Client presentations in partnership with

publisher sales and account management teams, driving forward a value-based

sales strategy


publisher sales and account management to represent Oracle Data Cloud solutions

across publisher client base, with a focus on positioning, how to sell and

competitive differentiation.


with Oracle product teams to drive forward publisher initiatives, including

management of the publisher product roadmap and meetings/roadshows between

Oracle product and publisher product teams.


with pricing, contracting and sales opportunity analysis.


with ODC channel, brandy & agency account teams to improve customer

engagement, increase customer retention and customer acquisition outcomes.


guidance and support with publishers contracting processes.

Required Skills andExperience

Deep understanding of

the Ad Tech Ecosystem and all of the entities that are utilized by a publisher,

including brand safety and contextual solutions, DMP, advertising measurement,

audience data, and ad delivery platforms such as ad servers, SSPs and DSPs.

Deep knowledge of the

publishing industry, competitive landscape for publisher solutions, D10 years

of Ad Tech Product Management, Product Marketing, Sales, Sales Engineering

and/or Business Development experience.

Demonstrated success in

a sales support role working independently, but also demonstrating strong

ability to work within a team and gain alignment across functions and teams.

Demonstrated track

record of building successful client interactions and client-facing materials

and presentations.

Detailed Description and Job Requirements

Provides direction and specialist knowledge in applying the technology/application to client business. Facilitation of customer product/application understanding through presentations demonstrations and benchmarks; provision of support throughout the sell.

As a TL Sales Consultant you will be responsible as the expert for formulating and leading presales technical / functional support activity to prospective clients and customers while ensuring customer satisfaction. Leads and acts as a technical resource and mentor for less experienced Sales Consultants. Focuses on large or complex sales opportunities that need creative and complex solutions. Develops productivity tools and training for other Sales Consultants. Develops and delivers outstanding Oracle presentations and demonstrations. Leads any and all aspects of the technical sales process. Advises internal and external clients on overall architect solutions.

Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. 3 years vendor (sales and marketing) experience. 7 years business experience with relevant computer applications or database/tools. Ability to implement the most advanced product features. Thorough knowledge of system and application design. In depth knowledge of competitors. Demonstrated project management skills. Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills: needs analysis, positioning, business justification, closing techniques. Ability to persuade others through presentations, demonstrations, and written communication. Ability to travel as needed. BA/BS degree or equivalent, advanced degree highly desirable.
