What you’ll be doing...
We’re looking for someone who can use data to shape strategy and solutions to join our team. You’ll analyze internal and external data to help identify and quantify the potential of new products, forecast sales, and provide decision support through the life of the product. You will be working with multiple stakeholders and balancing their needs to shape the direction of our new offerings and enable the product team to bring the best new products to market.
Driving new product development and launches with data-driven insights.
Evaluating and testing various alternative approaches and recommending the path forward.
Performing advanced analytics, modeling and data mining to develop insights on our business.
Supporting the product team with decisions related to new concepts based on data analytics.
Monitoring performance and reporting ongoing and ad hoc metrics in reports, presentations, and dashboards targeted to the situation and audience.

Verizon Connect’s Enterprise Data Warehouse was developed and implemented in 2017. This is an expansion of duties currently being maintained by contractors and consultants and will be the primary resource for providing support, creation and maintenance of ETL, data model management, table/view/index development and enhancement of data analytics from the data warehouse.
This person will serve as primary support, developer and admin of the Verizon Connect Enterprise Data Warehouse. This role is vital to Finance as a source for Verizon Executive Reporting and Analysis and Marketing for campaign management, master data management and feature usage. Examples of support include resolving failed data loads, solving data integrity issues, and modifying and maintaining ETL to ensure data is loaded correctly from source to table. The person in this role must be able to develop enhancements, server as SME for integration projects including incorporating acquired entities and identify key data elements, source appropriately from data stores, compile and present insight accordingly.
Support, development, maintenance and administrator of Verizon Connect Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) data loads and ETL required to maintain data integrity.
Development of logic to build new table structures, views and indexes as the warehouse expands in scope.
Serve as environment owner and SME for integration of additional data sources (up to and including new M&A activity).
Partnering with stakeholders (including but not limited to Finance, Marketing, Product, Customer Success) for leveraging data for cross functional initiatives including providing insight and into business intelligence, running ad hoc analysis.
Ensure that EDW data elements and logic are aligned to data governance initiatives to ensure key metric principals are defined and followed across multiple organizations and lines of business.

You’ll need to have:
Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
Six or more years of relevant work experience.
Product management or technical consulting experience.
Behavior/predictive analysis and/or data analytics development experience.
Even better if you have:
Bachelor’s degree in Math, Physics, Computer Science, and Engineering.
Master’s degree in a quantitative discipline. Ideally, an MBA.
Balanced the needs of multiple stakeholders.
Product development or analytics experience in the technology sector.
SQL, SQL, Editor for Oracle experience.
Hadoop and Map/Reduce experience.
Familiarity with data visualization software. Ideally, COGNOS or Tableau.
Working knowledge of scripting languages. Ideally, Python or Perl.
Business Intelligence Certification (CPBI).
Also, you’ll need to have:
5+ years’ experience as hands on Teradata Developer
Deep understanding of data warehouse concepts and relational databases
Must have experience on Teradata Tools (SQL Assistant) and using Teradata Utilities
Fluent in creation of database objects including tables, views, joins and indexes
And even better if you have:
Ability to work independently, turn around deliverables quickly.
Strong technical skills, analytical skills, good communication skills are important to succeed in this role.
5+ years of experience in the telecommunications field preferred.
