Position Summary:

The Accounting Manager is responsible for supporting accounting operations for the North America Clinical Trials Division. The ideal candidate is high-energy and a strong business partner. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of GAAP. The position is integral in the creation / implementation of policies and procedures.

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting Required

  • CPA Required

  • MBA a Plus

Experience

  • 7 – 10 Years Accounting Experience

  • Strong Analytical capabilities

  • Requires critical thinking and problem solving skills

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills

  • Process Improvement / Project Management

  • Strong Microsoft Excel, Visual Basic, PowerPoint, Access experience

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Demonstrate financial acumen in financial reporting, internal control, forecasting, analysis, and technical accounting knowledge.

  • Prepare monthly financial reports

  • Reconcile and analyze all Balance Sheet Accounts

  • Evaluate and review key policies, procedures and develop related documentation

  • Maintain and improve accounting infrastructure and procedures, including documentation

  • Proactively lead projects related to process improvement and system upgrades

  • Strong written communication skills, along with clear and concise verbal skills, are required

  • Proven history of participating on successful cross functional teams as well as the ability to build organizational relationships with peers and operating partners
