How will you make an impact?

The Ancillary Solution Manager’s primary responsibility is the creation of a comprehensive solution for the sourcing and distribution of ancillary products for clinical trial use globally. The Ancillary Solution Manager works collaboratively with sales, Clinical Supply Chain Managers, quotations, and materials management and thoroughly understands clinical trial protocols and customer requirements.

What will you do?

  • Creates comprehensive solutions for the sourcing and distribution of ancillary products for clinical trial use globally in support of forecasted study plan needs as defined by Clinical Supply Chain Managers- Ancillary Management

  • Identifies all the ancillary components of a given project (sometimes provided by customers and sometimes only described) including, but not limited to: country of origin, manufacturer’s address, product images, CE marking, and unit weight for import license requirements.

  • Responsible for sourcing accurate quantities and distributing ancillary materials to the client’s clinical trial sites in a timely manner utilizing Fisher Clinical Services’ global distribution network.

  • Utilizes Salesforce.com, SharePoint, and Microsoft Office to track, monitor, and implement global sourcing initiatives.

  • Facilitates customer conference calls and interfaces with customers and their CROs on a regular basis to identify and address needs, as well as, keep all parties informed of the status of study materials and supplies.

  • Manages internal and external conference calls for the Director of Commercial Operations and Solutions, when necessary, including Solutions/Sourcing Collaboration, Commercial Actions Updates, and Clinical Ancillary. Management business unit escalation meetings.

  • Leads weekly Project Opportunity Triage call which includes representatives from sales, Clinical Ancillary Management, and materials management to address issues, roadblocks, solutions and/or questions to client pertaining to new RFPs.

  • Works collaboratively with sales, Clinical Ancillary Management, quotations, and materials management, import/export, and the Fisher Clinical Services depot network to complete the global process by way of a thorough understanding of the clinical trial protocols and customer requirements

  • Maintains a Product Database of all sourced materials including photos, instruction and manuals, import/export, license requirements, etc. on a continual basis.

  • Assists with project management as needed when requested by Clinical Ancillary Management leadership

  • Subject matter expert for ancillary products including, but not limited to disposable products, infusion therapies, diagnostic testing and medical equipment, centrifuges, refrigerators, etc.

  • Responds to internal and external requests for ancillary product solutions on a daily basis

  • Researches ancillary products to determine best products to be used for various new and ongoing clinical trials

  • Identifies potential areas of concern with ancillary products and projects to allow for proactive troubleshooting

  • Tracks project metrics in Quote Tracking Log to ensure on-time deliverables.

  • Creates, maintains, and adjusts source documents, as needed, to insure ancillary product availability for new and on-going projects.

  • Receives, logs, and files product documentation for electronic storage format in order to grow Knowledge Base containing pre-scope requirements

  • Works with Commercial and Solutions Director on an as-needed basis to complete projects as assign

  • Works on-site in Allentown on a regular schedule to facilitate relationships with internal departments and check products.

  • Works with Associate Ancillary Solutions Manager to maintain communication and efficiency with Materials Management including providing and receiving information as necessary.

  • Participates in regular collaboration meetings with Materials Management to ensure proper alignment.

  • Classifies and identifies HTS (harmonized-tariff-schedule) codes for Clinical Supply Chain Managers to ensure. accurate importation data on Proforma invoices and maintains HTS codes in the HTS Code Database for future use

  • Applies Good Manufacturing Principles in all areas of responsibility.

  • Demonstrates and promotes the company vision.

How will you get here?

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A. / B.S.) from a four-year college or university,

  • At least five years of experience as a purchasing or financial professional and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Pharmaceutical and/or medical device products and services

  • Demonstrated track record of strong results.

  • Excellent communication and financial analytical skills.

  • Results oriented.

  • Experience leading complex projects across organizations
