What you’ll be doing...
The Business Operations Consultant will provide support to the Verizon Business Group related to Professional Services and advanced labor on Verizon’s Quote to Cash tools. This resource will work directly for the professional services operations team and will be responsible for helping Verizon Sales to resolve process and systems issues related to Professional Services. The resource will be responsible for solving complex issues with the functionalities and features of the Quote to Cash tools and will include leading and managing all phases of projects as needed and will include documenting and communicating results.
Planning strategic direction, executing, coordinating and contributing on all project related activities for Customer Accounts, through all project phases from inception through post-project
Participating in highly complex, cross functional projects that require contact with multiple departments
Consulting with management verbally and in writing to review project proposals, including goals, timelines, procedures for accomplishing tasks, required staffing, communication, quality assurance plans and analysis. Ongoing updates as needed.
Developing materials and participating in operational meetings to assess results and performance.
Creating and maintaining training, department communication and process development as needed
Developing and cultivating effective relationships with cross functional teams throughout Verizon and its affiliates
Driving performance and accomplishments from direct and indirect team members
What we’re looking for...
You’ll need to have:
· Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
· Four or more years of relevant work experience.
· Experience with Microsoft Office and Google G-Suite
Even better if you have:
2-5 years of related experience, with proficiencies in Business/Financial Acumen
Technical Skills: Business Operation Consultant uses technical skills to operate the Quote to Cash tools and research solutions to resolve issues
Analytical Skills: A major part of the job is to determine what the reported issues mean. Being able to analyze the data is crucial
Communication Skills: Once the data is analyzed, Business Operation Consultant must communicate their findings to the customer and their managers
Problem-Solving: Business Operation Consultant needs to be able to look at the data and recommend solutions for creating more revenue and reducing loss
Time Management: Business Operation Consultant works on large projects and deadlines. Being able to juggle it all is crucial to the team
Proven effective verbal and written communication skills
Must be a team player, dependable, flexible, and open to changing business practices and proven ability to work independently.
Must demonstrate effective time management and the ability to prioritize and/or manage multiple tasks, proven ability to work both with a team and independently with virtual management environment
Proven ability to work under pressure, make effective business decisions and meet deadlines
