Hilton Account Executive HWS – The Netherlands in Amsterdam, Netherlands

Position Summary:

The purpose of the position is to support in managing a portfolio of clients in the Netherlands, selling all Hilton properties worldwide, working under the direction and guidance of the Account Manager. The primary role for this position is to generate new opportunities through active telesales, handling group enquiries and drive conversion in MICE segment. In addition the account executive supports with initiating & organising sales and client activities such as workshops and roadshows.

What will I be doing?

To support in managing an assigned portfolio of clients in the Dutch office, increasing business and share from them.

Planning Activities 20%

•Works with key stakeholders and departments structuring activities and resources so overall objectives are met.

•Supports with development and organisation of sales & client activities as per the marketing plan

•Supports with accurate cost control as per budget plan

•Plans & coordinates joint sales trips in the designated territory in the most efficient and optimal way.

•Researches & identifies potential new accounts and assuring the corresponding sales activities to win these customers.

Pro-active Sales Activities 40%

•Implements the use of basic sales techniques / principles as set out in the Commercial College and Hilton loyalty programs.

•Researches and helps to identify business opportunities for Hilton Hotels and reports findings to management accordingly.

•Deploys structured telesales actions to acquire & qualify new potential accounts.

•Explores opportunities in specific vertical markets as agreed with the account manager.

•Develops relationships and partnerships with (key) accounts, prospective accounts and other accounts in the determined territory.

•Supports to maintain and develop the production of (key) accounts through exploring all opportunities available at all levels within the company through Total Account Management

•Helps to elevate prospect accounts to managed accounts through monitoring return on investment on sales activities and account development.

•Presents the Hilton hotels in a professional manner towards negotiating partners in line with Hilton’s Values.

•Supports to reach agreed goals and to deliver incremental revenue for all Hilton hotels.

Group Lead Management Activities 40%

•Manages various group enquiries simultaneously in a timely manner.

•Goes above & beyond to drive lead conversion in the MICE segment.

•Oversees proper controls and systems to ensure performance.

•Enforces policies and procedures to improve overall operations and effectiveness.

•Ensures Terms & Conditions negotiated with customers are checked / validated by Legal where necessary.

•Supports Account Manager to ensure accurate communication of sales promotions and information.

•Delivers accurate account production overviews & forecasts.

•Maintains close relationships with (key) hotels & drive accurate follow ups on pending opportunities.

Supportive Functions

In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the particular requirements of the company.

•Operates within prescribed budget parameters

•Ensures the use of Salesforce to it’s full extend

•Participates in industry events and represents Hilton at national specialist trade fairs and workshops, agreed by the Account Manager.

•Updates Sales Manual and other department related documents.

•Comply with all policies, systems and procedures as laid down by Hilton.

•The holder of this statement can be asked to take on other tasks in addition of the ones stated, in a reasonable framework.

•Additional supportive functions as appropriate
