The German Channel Program Manager: Cloud partners will be in charge of setting up a top notch partner network to support Oracle Digital Prime’s effort in selling our Cloud products (PaaS & IaaS). He/she will help existing mid-market partners to ramp up on our cloud solutions, develop new offers around our technology and master the necessary sales skills to accompany our customers in our cloud journey.
Additionally he/she will be responsible for the potential recruitment of additional Cloud partners.
He/she will also make sure cloud partners are perfectly plugged in Oracle Digital’s sales cycle, thus becoming instrumental allies for OD and delivering outstanding value to our customers.
The German Channel Channels Program Manager: Cloud partners works closely with Alliance & Channel as well as Oracle Digital Sales team to:
Recruit new partners when needed to extend OD’s coverage from a sales & consulting standpoint
Engage directly with existing partners to create customized ramp up plans of sales & consulting capacities
Help partners to develop new cloud offers around Oracle Cloud technology, with the support of Channel enablement team
Track the capacity ramp up of partners
Monitor the satisfaction of partners’ customers post implementation to ensure IMPECCABLE quality is delivered to our customers
Liaise with marketing to leverage partners’ success stories
Link Partners with OD sales cycle to bring them onboard cloud deals
Monitor OD collaboration with Cloud patners
Leverage multiple resources to achieve the mission: Alliance&Channels specialists, Marketing, Sales & Sales management, Pre-Sales, Business Development
Desired Skills and Experience
8 years experience with marketing and/or sales preferably in High Tech in an international company (big or small)
Customer satisfaction and high quality mindset
Experience in channel sales or sales through partners
Good understanding of IT indirect sales models
Good business acumen and understanding of IT environments
Excellent presentation skills (briefing to large sales teams & partners) and capacity to influence without authority
Quality driven: your credibility and ability to influence the business depends of the quality of your work. Good enough is not good enough!
Understanding of IaaS & PaaS technology. Technical background (IT) a plus
Capable of navigating easily within a complex Matrix organization
A strong sense of diplomacy
Advanced program management skills
Ability to work under pressure, to deal with ambiguity through a complex and fast-moving organization
Successful completion of 3rd level education or equivalent experience in sales or marketing
Fluency in English and German mandatory. Other European language a plus.
Detailed Description and Job Requirements
Responsible for the identification of relevant new business opportunities and designs "go-to-market" plan to deliver measurable and significant revenues. Pursues sales opportunities in the market, and carries the baton in the beginning of the sales cycle.
A Business Development Representative is assigned to strategic accounts which may be grouped by industry where Oracle has a limited presence. Acts as primary liaison between Consulting, Sales, and Oracle Development for the product
- s sales opportunities. Generates business opportunities through prospecting mass market programs and leveraging third party partners. Develops and coordinates a worldwide relationship with customers that establishes Oracle as a preferred vendor and optimizes Oracle's sales of product. Executes aggressive strategies and plans to successfully drive the product as the preferred customer selection. Provides account representatives with information on how the product addresses specific needs, and assists account representatives in using Oracle's products to leverage large revenue opportunities. Assists in articulating product message, coordinates technical resources and hands off deals to a successful close.
Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. 8 years of progressively increased responsibilities in sales or sales management. Marketing and business development experience preferred. Business and account planning implementation experience. Conversant in Oracle technology and product strategies. Proven track record in managing multiple opportunities and ability to negotiate and close complex deals. Ability to determine strategy and tactical plans that deliver tangible results. Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills. Ability to travel. BA/BS degree or equivalent, advanced degree highly desirable.
