Oracle Oracle Products UX Engineer in Annapolis Junction, Maryland
Responsible for creating, evaluating and modifying prototypes to support evolving hardware and software application development.
As a member of the User Experience team, you will develop and apply software design/usability processes in the investigation of technical problems. May develop user profiles, with emphasis on human error control, display issues, visual interaction, physical manipulation and task and objective analyses. Provide product usability, evaluation and support to product development teams, including the analysis and investigation of applications/systems including tactile methods, visual graphics, web, multimedia, voice response and conversational user interaction. May assist in developing design concept and implementation, providing input on user design considerations. May produce specifications describing user needs and internal structures for product in development.
Provide leadership and expertise in the development of new products/services/processes, frequently operating at the leading edge of technology. Recommends and justifies major changes to existing products/services/processes. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. Typically eight or more years of software engineering or related experience needed.

We are looking for an ambitious, self-motivated individual to contribute as a Section One Demo Engineer (imagineer). An imagineer creates concepts and designs that enable every Oracle customer to shape innovation that delivers real business value. Section One is looking for a talented imagineer who can take designs and bring them to life in real-world applications. This is a multidimensional design/development role. The ideal candidate floats between the worlds of UI design and front-end development creating friction-less experiences for all users of our vast library of demonstrations. Quickly build prototypes and demonstrations that can run on the Oracle Cloud platform or independently when appropriate
Balance great design and business goals with meeting tight deadlines
Collaborate with salespeople, product managers and internal Section One stakeholders to implement enterprise business scenarios and storyboards, and then translate those stories into compelling visuals
Understand Oracle Cloud products and their road maps
Understand applicable industry products that can be utilized to enhance demonstrations
Understand the various roles users plan when reviewing or utilizing Oracle Cloud products
Have a keen sense of modern design principles and best practices and be able to meld those, along with Oracle products and UX standards, into a seamless, believable, and exciting demonstration
Bachelor s degree
A professional portfolio demonstrating both interaction design and front-end development
Expert use of at least one industry-leading high-fidelity prototyping took like Axure, Framer, or JustInMind (we use Axure)
Proficient in modern front-end web development (HTML5, CSS, JS, React, and Angular)
Experience prototyping for web and mobile devices
Experience with design systems, pattern libraries, or component libraries
Able to balance quality deliverables with tight deadlines
Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively
Self-motivated, communicative, and collaborative working style
Ideally, you understand "a day in the life" of professional software developers
Proven success in the enterprise software industry is preferred
Practical experience with REST APIs a plus
