Deloitte Encore Program Systems Engineering Senior Consultant

Work you ll do

The Deloitte Encore Program was specifically designed to enable seasoned professionals who have left the workforce for two or more years to return to work. This paid, eleven week program offers an opportunity to enhance your skills while providing you a role in a client service environment. A network of Deloitte professionals will be assigned to provide you with relevant training and mentorship, and will help support your professional growth while you gain hands-on experience. You may also have the opportunity to join the team upon successful completion of the program.

The Deloitte Encore Program will run from September to December 2018. Whether it leads to a full-time career, or serves to sharpen skills that will help you to take the next step back into the job market, the Deloitte Encore Program is a great opportunity to reignite your professional career.

The team

Systems Engineering

Our Systems Engineering team delivers large-scale software applications and integrated systems, and assists clients with architecture design, assessment and optimization, and definition. We develop service-oriented architecture (SOA) and other integration solutions to enable information sharing and management between business partners and disparate processes and systems, and we deliver technology enablement to support CIO services transformation.

Systems Engineering professionals focus on key client issues that impact the core business by maximizing operational value, driving down the cost of quality, and enhancing technology innovation. Our teams deliver a wide range of services, including application architecture design and optimization, application modernization, business process management and solution integration, custom application design and development, and large-scale technology delivery program efforts.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 2 years break from employment strongly preferred.cases with less than a 2 year break from employment will be considered on a case by case basis

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Business Administration, or relevant educational or professional experience

  • 5 years of relevant consulting or industry experience

  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills (MS Visio, MS PowerPoint)

  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment

  • Understanding of and experience with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)

  • Ability to travel at least 25% of the time

  • Ability to work independently on multiple projects

  • Ability to obtain a US government security clearance
