Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Manage, architect, and analyze data science solutions in order to build data-driven business insights and high-impact data models to generate significant business value.
Create models, tools, and processes to collect, distill, and interpret data with a view to aid better, more informed decision making.
Examine and explore data from multiple disparate sources with the goal of discovering insights which, in turn, can provide competitive advantage for our clients.
The Data Science Manager is responsible for the delivery of analytics deliverables and is expected to direct the efforts of a data science team.
Basic Skills & Qualifications:
US citizen (no dual citizen)
5+ years experience with statistics and developing machine learning and/or deep learning algorithms
2+ years of client-facing project management experience leading data science projects across the full delivery lifecycle
Proficient in analytics tools including Python and/or R
Past experience managing the development and delivery of decision support tools across the full delivery lifecycle
Bachelor's Degree in related field; strong preference for the following fields of study: data science, mathematics, economics, statistics, engineering, operations research, and information management
Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
Familiarity with US Federal Government and DoD Cloud computing risk management and security requirements (FedRAMP, DoD SRG PA Impact Levels, etc.) and processes
Experience working with cloud services like AWS, Google, and Azure
Highly organized with the capacity to work on multiple assignments at the same time
Past experience or knowledge in supply chain management, warehousing, or distribution
Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Qlik, and/or PowerBI
Excellent communications skills with the ability to translate complex analytical tasks into non-technical, business related terms
Highly self motivated and able to proactively collaborate across projects and work streams
Ability to quickly understand business problems and strategic direction outlined by senior management and relate it to data, modeling, and decision support needs
Ability to understand client use cases and map them to solutions based on best practices
Master's Degree in related field; strong preference for the following fields of study: data science, mathematics, economics, statistics, engineering, operations research, and information management
An active security clearance or the ability to obtain one may be required for this role.
