Summary:The Operations/Project Manager oversees the operational planning, establishment, execution, and evaluation of a multifaceted product typically consisting of a set of closely related subprograms or associated activities. This Operations Manager will support the US Army center of excellence in enterprise resources planning (ERP), and specifically, General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS) Development and Modernization Product. Program/operations management activities involve contract and acquisition support; architecture and systems engineering support; operations and sustainment, and business management support.

  • Supports the fiscal, operational, and administrative management of the program.

  • Serves as principal point of representation and liaison with external constituencies on operational matters.

  • Provides day-to-day technical/professional guidance and leadership as appropriate to the area of expertise.

  • Develops and coordinates Presentations and documents.

  • Supervises operations staff

Minimum Qualifications:(To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.)

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • 10 years of Program or Operations Management experience

  • 7 years of experience as a Program or Operations Manager for DoD programs

  • Possesses extensive experience in the full complement of program management life cycle activities and is capable of providing management and liaison support to senior leaders that enables program success.

  • Secret Clearance required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong communications skills (both written and oral), strong customer service and excellent interpersonal skills, ability to listen and understand what is being described by the end user as well as the ability to explain problem resolutions when necessary.

  • Possess and maintain a valid state operator's license.

  • Ability to work independently without direct supervision or guidance.

  • Ability to work after hours and/or on weekends.

  • Ability to meet minimum security clearance requirements.
