Regulatory & Legislative Analyst (Junior Open-Source Analyst)
Sensing is designed to inform stakeholders of the outside-in view of risk using open-source analysis techniques and methodologies allowing for better-aligned mitigation efforts based on the shifting trends. This requires a creative and strategic thinker that develops big pictures insights, while maintaining a thorough understanding of the details and employs these skills to protect the practice within a newly developing team in Open Source Analysis (OSA). Specifically, the role will be focusing on regulatory and legislative issues at the federal and state levels that inform Deloitte s compliance strategy and serve to provide the internal stakeholders with critical situational-awareness.
Analyze and monitor regulatory and legislative issues using cutting-edge analytics and domain knowledge to identify risks and opportunities to the Firm
Produce reporting on a portfolio of monitored risks with internal teams to provide senior leadership with accurate, timely information
Develop methodologies and best-practices to ensure efficient work-flows
Serve as liaison to internal risk teams in the Firm to identify cross-collaboration opportunities
Create ad hoc risk sensing alerts utilizing trends and volume in media chatter to develop insights for management with an overall summary of the situation and risks posed to the Firm through a situation analysis of the facts, timeline of events, and implications to the business
Create monthly and weekly dashboard reports, covering each of the major issues that the Firm is monitoring for circulation to management
Perform extensive research, immersing yourself into a topic, to deliver a summary report to the government relations office on an ad hoc basis
