Deloitte Software Development Manager in Arlington, Virginia

Forensic Analytics is a fast-growth practice within Deloitte Risk and Financial Advisory that centers around several of the hottest areas of business today analytics, forensic analysis, and litigation support and the specialized skills that make careers in these areas both fascinating and in high-demand. Our Analytics team makes extensive use of data, statistical and quantitative analysis, rules-based methods, and explanatory and predictive modeling to bring insights to client issues in the forensic and transaction domains. We work with specialists in many areas, and we apply our solutions to a wide range of highly interesting and complex corporate challenges, such as forensic investigations, sales fraud, anti-corruption compliance, restructuring, safety and quality, enterprise fraud and misuse management to explain what has occurred in the past and to support informed decision making for the future. Our work increasingly employs specialized competencies, such as advanced analytics, visualization, and geospatial techniques

Work you ll do

The Deloitte Managed Services & Products practice launched a new service in the forensics space to detect fraud, waste, and abuse in various industries. The Anti-Fraud Waste and Abuse solution ("AFES") continues to increase the capacity, quality, and efficiency of the Deloitte forensic processing by utilizing state-of-the-art technology and machine learned in a dedicated environment. We are looking for a Software Development Manager to play an integral part in managing and growing an Agile Dev team. You must be enthusiastic, self-motivated, and an excellent communicator with experience leading software development organizations in a complex and high paced environment.

  • Management of day-to-day tracking of software projects in order to meet client expectations, reduce project and technical risks and execute projects on time, within budget, and with the highest quality.

  • Build collaborative partnerships with other functional organizations, such as the Product, Platform, Analytics, and IT teams.

  • Recruit and build effective teams by understanding the technical skills and roles needed.

  • Provide technical leadership in the overall development group.

  • Manage stakeholders expectations and requirements by balancing priorities.

  • Use your abilities to manage and resolve complex and ambiguous issues.

The position is located in Morrisville, NC or Arlington VA

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or related field or commensurate work experience

  • Role will not be required to be hands-on, but must be very technical in the entire stack of web development.

  • Dotnet core, AngularJS, Docker strongly desired, Python desired

  • Javascript, Angular JS

  • RDMS such as Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, or Postgres.

  • At least 3 years of experience as a Web Application Architect using REST services.

  • A passion for high quality software.

  • Experience working with JIRA or similar Project tracking Software

  • Experience with both Windows and Linux.

  • Understanding of the full software development life cycle in an AGILE development team.

  • Ability to multi-task, nimbleness and highly functional within a team environment

  • Must be adaptable to work in a varied, fast paced exciting, ever changing environment

  • Strong communication, interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills

Preferred :

  • Experience with microservices running within Docker.

  • Experience with Dotnet Core 2.1

  • Experience with Jenkins.

  • Hands-on experience supporting and managing secure Web-based environments.
