The Uniformed Security Services Manager is responsible for supporting the DARPA Uniformed Security section.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position)
Demonstrated managerial skills resulting in the effective utilization of resources and personnel
Drafts and coordinates security policy and procedures
Oversees scheduling for the Uniformed Security Services workforce
Prepares and provides briefings and performs security inspections
Supervises a security officer force of a minimum of 30 personnel
Knowledge of DoD security methods and procedures including patrol, crime prevention, traffic control and investigation, emergency response, basics of fire detection suppression and prevention.

- Indirectly and directly supervises the Uniformed Security Services personnel
Minimum Qualifications: (To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.)
Bachelor’s degree in emergency management or related field preferred; 15 years of experience may be substituted for the degree
Ten (10) years of managing security officer operations in a classified DoD environment; give of those served immediately prior to working on this contract
Demonstrated knowledge of recognized principles of emergency management, to include familiarity with the National Incident Management System (NIMS) and its subordinate component, the Incident Command System (ICS)
Thoroughly familiar with the DoD requirements for Continuity of Government (COG), to include the COG Condition (COGCON) system, and Continuity of Operations (COOP)
Familiar with national and DoD requirements, regulation, and law relative to emergency management
Must have and maintain a Top Secret clearance with eligibility for SAP and SCI access
Successfully completed a course of instruction for emergency management at a Federal Emergency Management Agency recognized school or at an Armed Forces service school
Demonstrated practical experience in responding to various types of actual emergency situations
Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills
Must have demonstrated excellent skills in customer relations
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of DoD directives pertaining to security methods
Skill in satisfactorily dealing with customers
Skill in operating a personal computer and standard office equipment
Knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database, (MSWord, Excel, Access, PowerPoint), and Outlook.
Ability to write governing policy and directives
Demonstrated ability to respond to various types of actual emergency situations
