IBM Financial Analyst – IBM Tech Re-Entry - Armonk, NY in ARMONK, New York

Your Role and Responsibilities

IBM's Tech Re-Entry program is looking for talented technical professionals who are looking to restart their careers after an absence from the workforce of two years or more. This paid 6-month returnship will enable you to work on projects that match your expertise, interests and abilities and could lead to full-time employment. During your IBM Tech Re-Entry returnship program, you will have the opportunity to update your skills in a contemporary work environment. You will have access to the latest tools and technologies available and work alongside a multi-disciplinary team to hone your expertise and deliver on client-critical solutions. You'll be able to experience the breadth of IBM resources while developing new skills and relationships.

We are now looking for a Financial Analyst to join our team in Armonk, NY . As a financial analyst in the Tech Re-entry program, you will be immersed in the operations of your assigned area, exposed to many aspects of the business and many of the basic functions of the company. Over your six months at IBM, you will gain a unique and in-depth understanding of the business and what makes it work. You will be expected to:

  • analyze and interpret complex data while working on financial analysis & reporting

  • collaborate with the business units and geography business teams regularly to improve and track financial performance

  • present insights on performance and recommending solutions to senior finance and business management.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Strong background in Microsoft Excel / Microsoft Office Suite

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • At least 2 years previous work experience with financial analysis and accounting concepts

  • Experience with statistical and predictive models

  • Intellectual curiosity
