IBM Global Chief Data Office (GCDO) Digital Engagement Specialist in ARMONK, New York

Job Description

Global Chief Data Office is looking for a talented individual to evangelize and communicate GCDO mission to internal team as well as teams across IBM. Data is centric to all we do now and the relatively newly formed Chief Data Office Organization looks to leverage all the data we collect at IBM. Now is the time to join a dynamic team and help make a change.

This role reports directly in through the Global Chief Data Office in the Finance and Operations organization. The selected individual will maintain the internal community strategy that brings the IBM Global Chief Data office point-of-view to our team, as well as to new and existing internal audiences. This person will work with counterparts around the world to amplify the story and engage with internal audiences.

You will write, edit, and produce communications (blogs, articles, speeches, videos, etc.) across several region and digital platforms (webex, intranet, e-newsletter, etc). The role focuses on creating compelling messaging and differentiated positioning to drive employee engagement, office initiatives, social advocacy, and positive influence within GCDO and across IBM.

The individual will collaborate with other IBM business units and functional areas to articulate and effectively communicate IBM's Global Chief Data Office strategy.

This individual will also facilitate external and executive communications, including the GCDO website on and speaking engagements on behalf of IBM’s Global Chief Data Officer. The Digital Engagement Specialist will also be the focal for our semi-annual CDO Summit, a highly-regarded external event attended by Chief Data Officers from around the world.

An understanding of a broad range of complex, cutting-edge technologies and translating them into easy-to-understand, accessible stories that resonate with all audiences, while remaining credible with the scientific and academic communities, is required.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • 1-2 years' experience in writing, community building, and the ability to work in a dynamic environment as well as excellence in collaborative influence and ability to navigate across large organizations and geographies

Preferred Tech and Prof Experience

  • PowerPoint. Adobe Suite skills a plus
