IBM IBM Accounting Analyst in ARMONK, New York
As an IBM Accounting Analyst, you will play a unique and integral role as a 'trusted business advisor' in support of various internal customers including, Finance, Planning, Treasury, etc. throughout globally integrated IBM.
IBM Accounting has the responsibility to accurately record the company's financial performance using Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, IBM Accounting Practices and Local Statutory Principles. Professionals working in this area will be expected to provide meaningful analysis of financial data, evaluate and advise on complex technical accounting issues, and ensure high standards of control over financial reporting. In this role, you must have a deep understanding of IBM's financial systems in Pan-Asia, including ledger, in order to provide comprehensive and meaningful information to the various stakeholders.
Candidates must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently and support senior executives on accounting matters in a timely fashion. IBM is looking for people who have a passion for the information technology industry and are determined to achive long term success at IBM.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Minimum of 7 years of accounting experience
Ability to apply US GAAP accounting rules in complex, SEC regulated, technology company
Demonstrate working knowledge of computer skills including the Office suite of products
Demonstrate professional written and oral communication skills
Fluet in English
Preferred Tech and Prof Experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and data management (eg. Access, SQL, QMF, etc.)
