In support of this vision, IBM (Global Business Services) GBS is looking for an energetic, results-oriented Automation Subject Matter Expert (SME) Seller to build relationships with IBM GBS client facing teams in North America as well as end user clients. This role will create new opportunities and experiences for our clients leveraging IBM Industry teams and their deep industry knowledge, coupled with the candidate ability to identify business process and technology automation areas. This person will be able to bring the two together for the customer to achieve measurable business outcomes.
We are looking for results-oriented, intellectually curious, and highly-motivated people who have a track record of success in selling complex solutions. This individual will take ownership of client relationships to drive sales, develop new opportunities, and close enterprise-level deals especially within the banking, financial services, and insurance space.
Manage and develop relationships at the executive level
Responsible for leading and coordinating business strategy with internal account teams and external client stakeholders
Grounded in technology and able to converge business and technology in dialog with customer executives
Conduct preliminary use case identification and associated ROI modeling as part of pursuits
Drives partnering strategy in leading the transactional process from opportunity creation to closure including price case development, legal and procurement documents necessary to support partnership and opportunities in North America
Participate in sales campaign development, event management and co-marketing opportunities within the global automation marketplace

Required Professional and Technical Expertise
10+ years of proven successful experience in executive level sales, with measurable success
Exceptional communication skills and a consultative approach in addressing a large matrix environment
Comfortable navigating complex enterprise policies and organizations, and differing agendas
Solid understanding of partnerships and alliances and how they can create value for our business, our partners and alliances and our clients
Resourceful, creative and able to find innovative ways to achieve results
Technologically savvy and familiar with one or more of: IT and process automation, RPA, artificial intelligence, machine learning
Detail oriented and highly skilled in staying focused amid complex situations
Independent thinker with the ability to ideate in unconventional ways
BS or BA, MBA a plus
Preferred Professional and Technical Expertise
- Past experience selling BluePrism, UiPath, Pegasystems or related technologies.
