Your Role and Responsibilities
IBM Offering Managers define, develop and deliver differentiated offerings that focus on winning in markets and delivering iconic user experiences. Offering Managers work across IBM and collaborate with cross-discipline teams on development, design, marketing, communications and sales to deliver the most innovative offerings to our clients. Successful Offering Managers combine sophisticated client/partner management and business process expertise with deep domain knowledge in imaging.
Preferred locations are Cambridge, MA or Chicago, IL
Working with significant autonomy, the Offering Manager, Imaging AI will lead the strategy of innovation for a specific offering idea. Combining deep business knowledge and subject matter expertise with excellent prioritization and client relationship skills, this position will work among all applicable business units and departments; compile market research, analysis, and documentation; work with KOL’s and potential partners, and analyze and advocate business cases in support of new project proposals. If the new offering concept is approved, the Offering Manager may proceed in the leadership of standard product development and management processes.
Essential Job Duties
Achieves ongoing understanding of the AI imaging market to operationalize strategies for new offering potential opportunities.
Compiles market analysis and business case development for new offering opportunities.
Works with industry Key Opinion Leaders, clinical experts and potential partners to refine use cases.
Participates in the Software Development process, including product life cycle, market and user needs for current and future solutions, producing appropriate, professional documentation, and developing and providing subject matter expertise;
Pursues a program of self-development through the use of selected reading, seminars, and participation in continuing education.(*Required)
Develops and maintains high level of industry and product expertise necessary to fulfill position responsibilities; understand, articulate, and demonstrate Watson Health Imaging value proposition.
Conducts buy/build/partner analysis to meet market requirements.
Drives cross-functional teams to deliver a solution that meets the market requirements.
Provides trade show and user group support
Participates in and supports agile development
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Specific offering knowledge is critical, but not essential.
Must have significant experience (at least 5, over 10 preferred) in a combination of:
Demonstrated team leadership. Excellent internal and external cross-functional collaboration skills.
At least 8 years of experience interacting with healthcare providers and industry partners
Demonstrated experience with full product life cycle management (inception, introduction, maturity, discontinuance and replacement)
Demonstrated expertise in business financials.
Strong analytical skills and decision-making capabilities.
Proven verbal and written communications skills.
Ability to work effectively with and influence executives, both internal and external
Strong executive presence and professional maturity.
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
At least 10 years of experience interacting with healthcare providers and industry partners
Master's degree preferred
