Provides programs to improve operational efficiency, consistency. Provides business practices and processes. Drives policies and procedures that monitor and support the organization*s operational and financial business objectives. Provides analysis and advice to management in the areas of operations, resource management, finance, revenue accounting, pricing, and/or contracts. May also be responsible for administration, knowledge management, and/or communications.
Develops and monitor PandL forecasts. Develops and monitor metrics to measure other key performance indicators and group performance. Performs competitive analysis. Creates pricing strategy and cost accounting (business modeling) for projects. Reviews contracts for terms, pricing and approvals. Work with account team to close deals. Interfaces with client to resolve contract/delivery disputes. May be responsible for directing resource management staff, ensuring maximum utilization. May be involved with compensation and bonus process. Manage at least two direct reports.
Assists in the development of short, medium, and long term plans to achieve strategic objectives. Regularly interacts across functional areas with senior management or executives to ensure unit objectives are met. Ability to collect, organize, and display data in spreadsheet format. Follow-through skills necessary to get information from internal and third parties and have data errors/omissions corrected. For this, relationship management skills strongly desired. Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with management and possible clients desired.

Business Planning Director CGBU (Communications GlobalBusiness Unit)
This position delivers programs to improve operationalefficiency, consistency, and transparency to the ongoing investment and budgetplanning process and execution for the Communications Global Business Unit(CGBU) within Oracle. The person in thisrole is expected:
To drive policies and procedures that monitorand support the organization s operational and financial business objectives
Provide analysis and advice to management regardingdevelopment spend, resource management, P&L achievement to target, capex/opex,pricing, and related financial activities.
In this role you will interfaceacross the Development as well as the Finance organizations to work on andcoordinate both bottoms-up as well as tops-down initiatives. As a result, experience interfacing with VPlevel executives as well as attention to detail are important skills for therole.
In addition, you will develop and monitor P&L forecasts and ensureachievement to plan on a recurring basis; Develop and monitor metrics tomeasure other key performance indicators and group performance; Assist in thedevelopment of short, medium, and long term plans to achieve strategicobjectives. Specific responsibilities include:
Manage a team of five direct reports
Create bottoms up long range development investmentplan
Report monthly KPIs for Product Strategy Reviewsand Quarterly Business Reviews
Manage Development Expense budget and forecastprocess
Manage Business Intelligence database for detailmanagement reporting
Manage capital and lab purchases for CGBUDevelopment
Manage implementation of APEX reporting platformfor improved operational efficiency
Ensure new product releases are operating withinthe budget
Partner with Finance to manage quarter endprocess
Business partner with Development VPs for strategicplanning and initiatives
MBA not required but strongly preferred.
