Verizon Digital Paid Media Advertising Manager in Ashburn, Virginia
What you’ll be doing...
The Digital Paid Media Advertising Manager role provides leadership for all digital advertising efforts for Verizon Enterprise Solutions and serves as the lead for the U.S. and global paid advertising efforts, working closely with our paid media advertising agency.
The incumbent will work with the campaign teams representing each product portfolio and business owners representing brand (cross-portfolio) campaign efforts to create an overall awareness and demand generation plan that will maximize the number of qualified sales inquiries coming through the website. Recommends the tactics that will provide the most impact, conversions and investment efficiency. Utilizes strong expertise in all paid media tactics (paid search, display, retargeting, paid social, presence on third party sites, content syndication (e.g., Tech Target, IDG), etc) and the ability to associate the paid search strategy back to the website SEO strategy, so that we are gaining full efficiency across all tactics. Will be responsible for building the overall paid media strategy, across all campaigns, managing the budget, gaining alignment from the business owners on the strategy and execution plan, and then leading the agency to execute the digital campaigns to deliver results for each product portfolio. Define the recommended paid advertising investment by portfolio and, ultimately, manage campaigns within budget to deliver results.
Independently manage global paid advertising efforts to drive awareness as well as demand generation to ultimately drive qualified inquiries into the sales team (full funnel approach). Will be responsible for working with campaign strategists to collaboratively define a strategy and execute against it. As part of building the strategy, this role will be responsible for defining the optimal path forward, given the objectives of, and the audience for, the campaign. Effectively convey the strategy and execute the plan, often requiring a briefing for senior level executives. Communicate what each of the paid media tactics are, how they help the business, when it’s appropriate to use them, etc. Partners with the agency to ensure the agency can execute and acts as liaison between the business clients and the agency.
Management of paid media advertising campaigns, U.S. and global; management of vendors/agencies to execute those campaigns as required and on time; management of relationships with internal teams; collaboration with teams responsible for: the campaign strategy; digital experiences to pay off the paid advertising campaigns; analytics; and those who manage SEO so that the paid efforts complement our SEO performance.
What we’re looking for...
You’ll need to have:
Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
Six or more years of relevant work experience.
Experience in marketing or related experience developing marketing programs strategy.
Thorough understanding of paid media strategy and tactics.
Even better if you have:
Master’s degree in Business Administration
Strong project management skills, including budget tracking
Ability to defend strategy and respond to challenging questions related to the strategy
Experience influencing and leading partners and internal organizations to meet goals
Abilityto define appropriate paid media tactics - SEO, SEM, paid social, international campaigns, given the objectives of the campaign
Knowledge of online tools/resources (AdWords, DART, Marketo, Lattice, Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, LivePerson, Salesforce)
Knowledge of enterprise marketing (B2B)
Detail-oriented and Results driven
Excellent communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex information to non-technical audience
