Verizon Lead Project Management Specialist in Ashburn, Virginia
What you’ll be doing...
Supporting DHS TSA and DHS US Secret Service, the Lead Project Management Specialist will work with Verizon leadership to escalate and address all obstacles that hinder the successful and timely implementation of projects to include contract modifications, builds and site requirements. Act as single Verizon point of contact for US Secret Service/TSA to answer questions and provide direction.
Tracking and management of projects supporting TSA and US Secret Service installations and modifications or changes to existing services.
Provide support for US Secret Service during the UN Convention.
Providing the customer accurate and timely updates on status and escalations
Hosting weekly project meetings with Verizon and the customer
Flexibility to meet with the customer at their respective HQ’s for meetings
Interfacing with US Secret Service /TSA and Verizon organizations to plan and implement projects.
Creating and updating Clarity projects, PDB (Internal Database) and SharePoint sites with the most up to date status.
What we’re looking for...
You’ll need to have:
Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
Three or more years of relevant work experience.
Project management experience.
Eligibility to obtain and maintain a government issued security clearance.
Even better if you have:
Excellent communication skills interfacing with customers.
Organizational skills to prioritize and balance the needs of the customer.
Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project.
