What you’ll be doing...
Job Description:As a Technical Program Manager for the Network Security Services team, you will lead, manage, and implement strategic and tactical programs to secure Verizon networks, business, and customers. You will work in a cross-functional flexible environment to facilitate and define solutions for improving Verizon’s network security posture. You will provide analysis and support for the various teams within Network Security Services as well as other Network and Security teams.
Using your experience in managing network security solutions, you will manage cross-functional programs, driving both internal and customer facing initiatives to successful conclusion.
Facilitate communication and work in partnership with multiple teams.
Provide briefings at various levels.
Identify, own, and drive resolutions to gaps in existing postures and processes.
Provide response and analysis during network security events.
Assess and manage scope of work across the projects.
What we’re looking for...
You’ll need to have:
Bachelor's degree in computer science/engineering or four or more years of work experience.
Six or more years of relevant work experience.
Even better if you have:
A Bachelor’s Degree
10+ years of experience in cybersecurity
Experience using Splunk and other analysis tools
Understanding of TCP/IP and networking concepts
Understanding of network threats such as DDoS
Experience in security risk analysis and assessment
CISSP or other security certification
Ability to work in an adaptive and agile environment
Familiarity with Agile tools and concepts
Experience successfully managing large technical projects with positive security impact within a global environment
Experience in a cross functional leadership role with understanding of how business and technical requirements interweave to create solutions
Knowledge of technical product and IT development lifecycle within a global enterprise environment
Ability to manage and balance business and technical requirements
Knowledge of large scale programs with end to end accountability
Ability to work with diverse stakeholders including highly technical teams, business owners, and senior executives
Must be highly organized with an ability to manage competing priorities
Demonstrated organization and project management skills
Experience with business case creation, funding, purchasing, and logistics
Familiarity with Verizon networks
