Marsh & McLennan Associate Client Advisor - Surety in Atlanta, Georgia

The Associate Client Advisor of Surety directs the placement and leads the servicing activity for a specific product line or industry in collaboration with the client executive, senior client advisor, broker and/or carrier.

Essential Functions

Client service and placement

Meets with client to assess its risk management needs. Reviews the client's exposures and loss experience against current types of coverage and analyzes the risks to determine the products and service requirements. In conjunction with the senior client advisor, develops a broking plan in response to client needs and gains client's approval. Communicates the broking plan to brokers or carriers, as appropriate. Receives and evaluates quotes from the carrier or the broking center and presents a recommendation to client. Upon client's acceptance, binds coverage and issues appropriate documents. Invoices the client and monitors payment by the client to avoid policy cancellation. Responsible for policy checking. Delivers daily service to the clients for the specific product line that assures that their risk management needs are appropriately met. Implements and maintains a quality post-sales service plan. Client development

Creates and presents renewal proposals to existing clients and participates in presentations to prospective clients. Product development

Keeps abreast of changing market conditions and informs client executives, carriers, brokers and/or clients of major developments affecting various types of coverage. Identifies the need for new products and suggests solutions to brokers and/or carriers. Staff management

Coordinates servicing workload of client representatives on assigned accounts. Provides input to appropriate supervisor for performance assessment of client representatives. Information management

Utilizes the company's integrated PC network that builds and shares service and placement information and makes use of the company's network of resources to enhance productivity and economic benefits to both Marsh and the client. Professional standards.

Complies with published Marsh professional standards and guidelines. Possesses in-depth knowledge of insurance with respect to the specialty product line. Handles the medium-sized accounts or moderately difficult accounts. Coordinate the bond-issuing process, and ensure the physical bonds are delivered to the client in a timely manner in compliance with internal and regulatory protocols. Work with underwriters on behalf of clients in order to facilitate coverage outside of approved parameters, reconcile liability, and seek guidance from advisory to ensure alignment with overall strategy/protocol. Record, organize, and input all transactional data consistent with departmental procedures. Evaluate client financial information in order to gain an understanding of a client’s financial position and work with Advisory as needed to validate, or if broader analysis is required. Compile high-quality, timely submissions on behalf of our clients when underwriters request information relative to account updates, special bond needs, and all other relevant requests. Assist Client Advisors with client information requests, surety meeting preparation, reporting, and program re-marketing efforts. Resolve outstanding accounting issues. . Qualifications Broker Licenses Required Has a minimum of 5 years of experience within a specific product line. Has a college degree or equivalent work experience and is appropriately licensed. Is an expert user of the Internet and of company-sanctioned e-mail, word processing and spreadsheet software. Has extensive knowledge of in-house, proprietary financial and sales-reporting systems, as well as office databases and company-sanctioned presentation software. Communicate with a variety of Surety clients on a daily basis in order to understand, document, and execute new and renewal bonding needs.
