Mercer has an exciting opportunity available and is recruiting for a Defined Contribution Plan Consultant What can you expect? This individual will work directly with multiple senior consultants in varying geographies to manage defined contribution plan projects, such as but not limited to, plan design benchmarking, cost analysis, non-discrimination testing, compliance review, administrative fee benchmarking, and vendor search projects. In addition, this individual will meet and communicate directly with clients on various projects and retainer work. This role requires project management skills and may involve checking of other analysts’ work. What’s in it for you? We are the global leader in the health and benefits. In this role you will be responsible for: Manage/review/perform necessary calculations or analysis on plan design costing projects including analyzing current participant behavior, projecting costs based on static and projected populations over single or multiple years Manage/review/assist in performing analysis of administrative fees for fee benchmarking and vendor search projects. Support drafting of RFIs/RFPs and analysis of vendor responses including review of vendor websites Manage/assist in nondiscrimination testing including ADP/ACP, coverage and general testing Manage/review/assist on vendor-related projects such as vendor searches and fee benchmarking What qualifications are necessary to have for the role? Bachelor’s degree 5+ years retirement related work experience preferably in a consulting environment Successful client relationship experience Basic understanding of ERISA, pension, trust and securities industries preferred Qualified Plan/Trust administration experience preferred Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint Analytical ability Presentation skills Ability to effectively manage multiple projects At Mercer, we make a difference in the lives of more than 110 million people every day by advancing their health, wealth, and careers.
