Home Depot Earned Media Senior Brand Analyst in Atlanta, Georgia

POSITION PURPOSE

The Earned Media Senior Brand Analyst will partner with cross functional partners to drive a best-in-class online customer retail experience by elevating brands on homedepot.com. This role will build strong business relationships with the brand advocate, category experience, social media, and earned media teams to enhance brands’ online presence with the goal of improving organic rankings, driving online traffic, and growing sales.

The position will be responsible for helping analyze brands’ online performance and for identifying opportunities for improvement through competitive research and on-site changes. This position will analyze and leverage the digital voice of the customer as well as competitive benchmarking to identify areas necessary to improve the online brand experience. In support of The Home Depot omnichannel retail strategy, this role will also partner with cross-functional groups to identify process improvement opportunities that will optimize effectiveness leading to brand renewal and growth.

As an Earned Media Senior Brand Analyst you will:

  • Work to optimize the online experience for high-value categories to the business

  • Work with cross-functional teams to share and implement recommendations

  • Develop processes to improve communication between teams

  • Identify new opportunities to improve organic visibility of brand-specific products

  • Evangelizing Earned Media and SEO best practices across the organization

MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • 35% Responsible for evangelizing the evolving world of search engines at all levels of the organization in terms of best practices, industry standards, and legal requirements.

  • 25% Own a large part of the project lifecycle; including any needed discovery and initial assessments, program and/or requirements definition, creative briefs, program implementation and launch, and ongoing measurement and reporting. Integrate initiatives with internal partners in Marketing, IT, Creative, Merchandising, Operations.

  • 20% Create, adjust and present plans based on the interplay and performance dynamics between PC, Mobile, and Tablet devices based on customer behavior.

  • 20% Measures ongoing effectiveness of programs against target metrics, and makes frequent adjustments to leverage any changes in the evolving world of search.

ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS

Environment:

Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.

Travel:

Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.

Additional Environmental Job Requirements: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Must be eighteen years of age or older.

Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.

Additional Minimum Qualifications:

Education Required:

The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.

Years of Relevant Work Experience: 3 years

Physical Requirements:

Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

Additional Qualifications:

3-5 years in search engine marketing including on page, off page, social and local SEO strategies

Experience using SEO and business related tools including: Omniture/Adobe SiteCatalyst, Search Center, Google/Bing Webmaster tools, Google Adwords, SEOmoz, Advanced Web Ranking suite, SEOclarity and keyword research tools

A core understanding of HTML/CSS

Project management experience associated with interactive marketing and/or web projects

Meticulous understanding of SEO white hat vs. black hat tactics

Preferred Qualifications:

High comfort level with working in an ambiguous, fast paced environment

Proven record of having worked with major consumer brands and knowing how to support/differentiate them in the digital space

Prior analytics and data analysis exposure

Technical aptitude and agility to learn database systems and web-based platforms (i.e. Adobe Analytics, BrightEdge, and Google AdWords)

E-commerce knowledge and experience is a plus

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:-

Intermediate/Advanced capabilities with Microsoft Excel required

A steadfast passion for SEO and internet marketing

Proven SEO Experience and understanding

In depth knowledge of current and developing SEO trends

Understanding of interactive marketing and e-Business strategies, channels, technologies, principles and processes

Web Development, Scripting, SQL

Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work well with others
