Design, development, and testing of the embedded/IoT Linux-based hardware for existing and new products.
Design and develop high quality, high performance, low latency large-scale platform, services and libraries.
Develop a deep understanding of the relevant business areas and components in the stack.
Contribute to and take ownership of a component in the stack.
Effectively communicate, partner with, and execute cross-functional projects.
What we’re looking for...
You’ll need to have:
5+ years of experience developing with embedded Linux and one or more embedded RTOS’s, and different hardware platforms especially ARM-based
3+ years of hands on proficiency in developing code in Java, Go, C / C++ or Python.
2+ years of hands on experience working with IoT/embedded devices
Strong communication skills, specifically with explaining technical concepts to a non-technical audience
Comfortable with digital (and some analog) hardware, and common interface technologies (ex: UART, CAN, I2C, SPI, USB, Ethernet), and ability to read data sheets and schematics
Linux/Android development expertise, including knowledge of kernel, drivers, peripherals, and boot/upgrade process
Understanding of OBD protocols
Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment
BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Telecommunications (or equivalent)
Even better if you have:
Experience with test equipment (oscilloscopes, JTAG emulators, logic analyzers)
Experience of working with and adding support for new OBD protocols
Solid understanding of embedded device and cloud native application architectures such as microservices and twelve-factor applications.
Experience in mobile app development for Android and iOS.
