Home Depot HR Services Business Analyst in Atlanta, Georgia

POSITION PURPOSE

This position ensures that Human Resources and other business initiatives are fully supported with the appropriate processes, tools, reports and metrics. The analyst accomplishes this by building relationships and working cross-functionally with internal business and IT partners. The HRS Business Analyst role is critical to the department to ensure accuracy in audits and system integrations across the breadth of HR functional activities and must preserve confidentiality of sensitive associate and business data.

MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

10% Organize current and to be business processes using business and systems expertise, and accepted procedures and methodologies

20% Document business requirements and work with both IT and business partners on appropriate design decisions

20% Participate in appropriate steps within the solution development lifecycle to ensure functional requirements are met and meetings are facilitated with functional SMEs, peers, management, and other key stakeholders

20% Participate in end to end implementation planning to include change management, training and support

10% Facilitate aspects of individual projects to include work plans, issues resolution, and status reports

10% Prepare, develop or configure programs and processes typically of moderate to high complexity

10% Participate in and perform appropriate quality assurance testing

NATURE AND SCOPE

Typically reports to Sr. HR Services Business Analyst or Manager HR Services

No direct responsibility for supervising others.

ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS

Environment:

Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.

Travel:

Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.

Additional Environmental Job Requirements: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Must be eighteen years of age or older.

Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.

Additional Minimum Qualifications:

Education Required:

The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.

Years of Relevant Work Experience: 2 years

Physical Requirements:

Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

Strong Analytical and problem solving skills

Forward thinker with a passion for continuous process improvements

Solid proficiency with Excel (Pivot tables and V-Lookup) and Access

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:Project management experience

Solid communications and interpersonal skills; ability to develop effective business relationships and build consensus

Knowledge of HR processes and supporting systems

Understanding of application development methodology

Sound business judgment, analytical skills and ability to effectively manage issues and risks
