Home Depot Manager, Business Analytics in Atlanta, Georgia
The role will be the business lead for the implementation and continued development of Home Depot's merchandising business intelligence capabilities. The Manager, Business Analytics will lead a team to work with business users within Home Depot (Merchandising, Store Operations, and Supply Chain) and Home Depot's supplier partners to develop requirements for new analytical tools and reports that will improve strategic decision making processes. This individual will lead the team to create actionable data that is readily available to merchandising users to assist them in making quicker, more intelligent business decisions. The Manager, Business Analytics will need to be well versed with reporting techniques and technologies with a keen focus on innovative thinking.
Key day-to-day responsibilites include:
Work with key business groups (Merchants, Store Operations, Inventory Planning & Replenishment, Supply Chain) to document analytical and business reporting requirements
Develop roadmap for evolving Merchandising Business Intelligence roadmap, prioritizing development of analytical capabilities based on business need
Partner with IT Business Intelligence team to ensure successful development and testing of new capabilities
Drive user training and on-going support
MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
40% Manage multiple enterprise-item related capital projects by integrating and leading the efforts of a broad range of contributors, ensuring that all necessary project deliverables are complete on time and within budget. Work closely with management to gain approval for initiatives.
20% Act as the integrator across the range of program contributors including internal groups, vendors, IT and third party software providers by identifying and managing dependencies across disparate workstreams and mitigating overall risk to the program success.
20% Design and review practical, realistic project plans and hold project teams accountable for execution and quality of projects. 20% Maintain quality and fiscal control of projects. Provide metrics, measurement, evaluation and reporting as needed in support of capital projects. Track projects from inception through implementation.

Position reports to Sr. Manager, Business Insights
Number of direct reports is 2-5.
ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
Additional Environmental Job Requirements: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must be eighteen years of age or older.
Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
Additional Minimum Qualifications:
The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
Years of Relevant Work Experience: 5 years
Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
- Minimum 3 years of project management experience
Experience with reporting tools e.g. SQL Server Reporting services, Tableau, Power BI
Expertise in data querying and analysis
Thorough knowledge of information systems processes, methodologies, and concepts is required
Excellent written and verbal skills are required; must have strong interpersonal capabilities and the ability to work and partner cross-functionally with other leaders and teams; demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with all levels of leadership
Proven ability to mentor and develop staff through experience and training; accountable for work assignments and progress monitoring, team morale building, hiring, coaching, and performance reviews
Proactive, take-charge leader that assumes responsibility for achieving results; ability to think, work, and contribute beyond defined responsibilities; bandwidth to grow and assume additional responsibilities; well-organized with the capacity to multitask is preferred
Functional knowledge in any one of the subject areas - Merchandising, Supply Chain, Store Operations, Finance
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field required; advanced degree Preferred
