Our Marketing team offers talented students an opportunity to develop leadership skills and gain hands on experience, while working in lockstep with leaders on projects directly transforming the Marketing strategy for The Home Depot. The focus of our internship program is on learning day-to-day operations and obtaining an overall comprehension of the Marketing & e-Commerce business for The Home Depot. During the 12 week summer period, we are seeking interns in both of these departments:

  • Media: These internships will be centered around either optimizing paid media investments, or improving the discoverability of homedepot.com. We will have interns supporting teams focused on strategizing and executing Paid Media plans, or interpreting customer data and transforming it into actionable insights to better answer customer needs within Earned Media.

  • Graphic Design: These internships will be centered around delivering exceptional online design solutions for homedepot.com. We will have interns supporting teams focused on providing design, product images, and other creative graphics as need for content and products on homedepot.com.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities:

  • Use strategic thinking to approach problems and create solutions

  • Responsible for the accuracy and quality of work performed

  • Develop and implement project plans; determine requirements, deliverables, resources, timing/milestones, and risks

  • Communicate findings and project status clearly and professionally through presentations. Make recommendations to upper management.

  • Provide comprehensive report out to senior leaders on assignments and other related projects

Nature & Scope:

  • Reports to Intern Manager

  • No direct reports

Environment:

  • Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.

Travel:

  • Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be eighteen years of age or older.

  • Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.

Education Required:

  • The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a high school diplomas and/or GED.

Years of Relevant Work Experience: 1 years

Physical Requirements:

  • Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Media: Currently enrolled and pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, or closely related fields. Excellent academic performance is required.

  • Graphic Design: Currently enrolled and pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, or closely related fields. Excellent academic performance is required.
