IBM Network Architect in Atlanta, Georgia

Your Role and Responsibilities

The Network Architect works with the platform architecture team to define the network architecture supporting the IBM Federal zCloud offering in support of Mainframe (z/OS) zCloud clients. The Network Architect develops use cases, identifies/researches and recommends technologies to deliver on those use cases, and oversees the configuration and implementation of those technologies in support of business objectives.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • 7+ years of Network troubleshooting and tier 3 support.

  • 5+ years of Mainframe Networking hardware, tools, and protocols experience.

  • 5+ years of experience with BGP, OSPF, and other routing protocols.

  • 5+ years of wide area network design and implementation.

  • 5+ years of local area network design and implementation.

  • 3+ year of software defined network topologies and implementation.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Active Secret clearance.

  • CCNP or higher VMware NSX-V and NSX-T experience.

  • Familiarity with Cisco and Arista routing and switching platforms.

  • Familiarity with Next Generation Firewall Technologies such as Check Point, Palo Alto, Cisco, Juniper, and Fortinet.
