POSITION PURPOSE:

The Project Manager of Services Facilities manages and coordinates operational and tactical execution of facilities projects for Services Owned Businesses. In close coordination with the Sr. Manager of Facilities, this person oversees and is responsible for planning, managing and executing projects of the HDE and HDI facilities, including building remodels, building standards, and material handling equipment maintenance. The Project Manager creates and maintains project plans, develops and communicates status reports, manages issues and risks, and helps control project scope. The Project Manager works with internal leaders as well as 3rd party vendors.

This position builds partnerships with the facility leadership to collectively develop and execute projects, initiatives and scheduled maintenance services in order to deliver safe and high performing facilities while maintaining fiscal responsibility. They will ensure uptime of critical facility operational equipment, provide asset protection and coordinate with outside contractors regarding building services to ensure a clean and safe environment.

MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Controls project scope, schedule and cost. Ensures that blueprint plan is being followed with each project. Provides thought leadership to the creation of project plans and facilitates workout sessions and key meetings.

  • Coordinate program changes or potential program changes to the baseline and ensures the approved changes are communicated and implemented.

  • Ensures project information is communicated to the project team and stakeholders. Assists business in compiling timelines, communication plans, written status reports, and scorecards. Aids in selection of success metrics for proof of concepts, pilots, and rollouts.

  • Determines and documents project issues/risks and tracks timely mitigation/resolution.

  • At the completion of a project or project phase, captures key lessons learned and communicates to PMO and business. Effectively applies lessons learned in subsequent projects.

NATURE AND SCOPE:

  • This positions reports to Sr Mgr, Services Facilities

  • This position has no Direct Reports

ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Environment:

Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.

Travel:

Typically requires overnight travel 50-75% of the time

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be eighteen years of age or older.

  • Must be legally permitted to work in the United States

Education Required:

The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.

Years of Relevant Work Experience: 3 years

Physical Requirements:

Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of relevant work experience

  • Proven experience managing large scope projects and coordinating multiple projects at one time

  • Excellent at building relationships with strong customer service skills

  • High sense of urgency

  • Prior project experience in facilities management, retail, construction, or real estate
