IBM Retail Services Sales Manager in Atlanta, Georgia

Your Role and Responsibilities

The Services Sales Manager (SSM) is the manager leading a group of relationship and technical sales professionals focused on the Retail, Travel & Transportation, and Consumer Product industries. The manager and his team are responsible for identifying IT Services opportunities and leading small/medium (<$10M) deals to closure.

The SSM is responsible for:

Developing the industry services sales strategy that will meet/exceed the assigned quota

Leading and ensuring the team’s development and closing of highly complex information technology solution

Interacting with senior client executives, which can include the CEO, CFO, CIO, Board of Directors and evaluation committees.

Mentoring new and existing sales professionals, while identifying talent to promote to other parts of IBM

The SSM should:

Have an in-depth understanding of the client's business, goals, strategies and industry trends and directions.

Have experience leading multi-disciplined teams in identifying, developing and leading <$10M deals,

Have experience mentoring and developing talent

Have experience developing solutions that integrate services and products to solve client problems.

These deals are intended to increase IBM's services revenue within existing and white space accounts and may include the following sample of solutions:

Cloud – IBM Cloud, Red Hat Solutions, Multi-cloud Mgmt, cloud optimization, cloud storage, zOS Cloud, PaaS solutions including SAP and Oracle as a Service.

Systems – IT as a Service, managed services for servers, mainframe, storage, cognitive IT, leveraging analytics and robotics.

Security – Security as a Service, threat management, ID management, malware defense management

Network – Network as a Service, telecom expense management, optimization studies, Software Defined Networking, OEM hardware and software procurement, Voice and Data.

Resiliency – Disaster Recovery as a Service, DR strategy and consulting, high availability environments, cloud managed backup

Data Center – Strategy, design, implementation, optimization, services to support data centers

Mobility – Workstation as a Service, Mobile Expense Management, Mac@Work, AI IT Service Desk, End User Services

Required Professional and Technical Expertise

-5-7 years leading diverse groups of talent in a sales function
