POSITION PURPOSE

We are looking for a Senior Manager to lead supply chain development efforts responsible for the design, build, and roll out of 40 new direct fulfillment centers. These new direct fulfillment centers will deliver goods directly to our customers.

MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Responsibilities include and are not limited to:

  • Strategy & Planning

  • Network strategy & facility design

  • Extend same day and next day delivery capabilities

  • System design

  • Talent Development

  • Project management

  • Analytics

  • Implementation

  • Delivery operations

  • Building operations

  • Change Management

  • Building relationships and work cross functionally

  • Deliver new capabilities to our customers

NATURE AND SCOPE

Reports to Senior Director of Supply Chain Development

Responsible for hiring a team of direct reports

May have Direct and indirect reports

Typically requires highly developed interpersonal skills for dealing with sensitive or controversial situations. Typically faces situations that have a variety of interpretations and require careful evaluation.

Typically considers new approaches within general policies and short-term goals when solving problems. Typically, once given general assignments, determines priorities and defines what should be done and how to do it.

ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS

Environment:

Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.

Travel: Up to 25%

Additional Environmental Job Requirements:

Under regular pressure to meet deadlines, quotas and/or must frequently deal with difficult issues related to people or situations.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Must be eighteen years of age or older.

Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.

Education Required:

The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job. MBA preferred.

Years of Relevant Work Experience: 5 +, includes graduate work

Physical Requirements:

Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

Preferred Qualifications:

Advanced degree desirable; MBA preferred

Experience in consulting or supply chain strategy

Retail experience preferred

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:

Experience as a team leader. Ability to complete projects through a variety of different people in various departments who do not directly report to the team leader. Business acumen and strategic thinking skills. Well-developed presentation skills (oral and written). Computer skills required, specifically PowerPoint, Word and Excel. Ability to maintain composure and productivity in a dynamic environment. Ability to be deadline oriented with long and short-term projects. Ability to approach problems systematically. Ability to independently identify what needs to be done, build a plan, and execute.
