Responsible for assisting the Special Asset Manager within Trust Management Group primarily in administrative and operational duties. Has both internal and external client contact and follow up.
The Specialty Asset Associate will work within the Specialty Asset Management Unit supporting various lines of business; farm and ranch, timber, the private business group, real estate, and oil and gas. The primary focus will be on chart of accounts management, budget preparation, general ledger accounting, account reconciliation, trend analysis, financial statement preparation, financial reporting, and client reporting. The candidate must be able to understand the financial statements and be able to communicate the results to asset managers in various lines of business. Strong skills are required in understanding the flow of accounting data and how it might be used to prepare financial statements.
Bachelor's degree with a concentration in accounting and finance.
Previous work experience with general ledger management and financial reporting including development of client reporting
Very strong skills in the Microsoft Office suite of products; Excel including pivot table capability, Word, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Access.
Strong communication skills; both oral and written
Strong problem solving skills, initiative, and ability to work effectively in a team environment
Strong critical thinking to support the financial analysis aspect of the role.
