The person in this position will be a key contributor to the Financial Reporting, Research and Analysis Team (FRRAT), supporting the Manager of Financial Reporting. The role focuses on delivering value to the Company and external users through accurate and efficient preparation of both external financial statements and key internal financial reports, assisting with the implementation and ongoing application of various accounting standards to ensure that management has the necessary information to make the best decision for the business. Within this role, the senior accountant will work closely with teams across multiple organizations of the business, as well as external parties. The senior accountant must be able to work at a technical level (accounting research) and at a tactical level (analyzing data, application of accounting standards and problem solving).
This position is responsible for assisting in the preparation, review and analysis of required SEC external financial statements (10-Q, 8-K,10-K, 11-K) as well as other filings as they arise (i.e. registration statements). These responsibilities include ensuring compliance with US GAAP and SEC regulations, as well as assisting with XBRL compliance. This role will work directly with business partners including but not limited to consolidations, treasury, corporate accounting, finance, and investor relations.
This position is responsible for assisting with monthly internal reporting through the preparation and/or review of the monthly P&L and key schedules used by executive management. The senior accountant will also be directly responsible for the preparation of the cash flow statement on a monthly basis.
This role will assist in the research and implementation of new accounting standards, which will require staying current on proposed and existing guidance. This role will also assist in researching other accounting issues as they arise, with the opportunity to draft technical accounting memos. The senior accountant will also perform the annual goodwill impairment analysis, as well as other ad-hoc technical analysis.
This position will be provided with opportunities for departmental training and development and should be committed to work in a team-oriented environment. There will be opportunities for ad-hoc reporting and presentations to senior leadership, as well as participation in special projects as needed. This position will also work with the team to identify, recommend and implement process improvements.
MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Monthly preparation, review and analysis of assigned accounts and review of specified accounts assigned to staff accountants included in the consolidated and divisional profit and loss statements and balance sheet.
Preparation and/or review of monthly account reconciliations in accordance with Finance Account Reconciliation Standards.
Position will be required to take a leadership role in departmental training and development and be committed to work in a team-oriented environment.

Typically reports to Finance and Accounting
No associates report to this role on a permanent basis, but requires the leadership of a work group: assign and review work, train and contribute to performance appraisal (but not hiring, firing or disciplinary action).
ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
Must be eighteen years of age or older.
Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
Years of Relevant Work Experience: 2 years
Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
Experience in Financial System conversion including Data Migration and Application Integration.
Candidate must be a pro-active self-starter with solid time management skills.
Must have the ability to handle changing priorities, multi-task outside primary areas of responsibility, establish good business relationships, work directly with management, and have demonstrated leadership ability to manage departmental projects and/or initiatives.
Expected to handle confidential company financial and operational information in a responsible manner.
Undergraduate or Masters in Accounting/Finance
CPA, or international equivalent, preferred
Experience in “Big 4” Public Accounting is a plus, or experience in financial reporting with a public company
Experience with Workiva and XBRL is a plus
Proven analytical, problem identification and resolution skills
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:
Solid foundation in Accounting
Ability to work with many people across multiple departments
