POSITION PURPOSE

A Supply Chain Order Management Sr. Analyst uses analytical methods and a variety of tools to understand, predict, improve and/or control Supply Chain operations and processes. Sr. Supply Chain Analysts are responsible for data management, analyzing performance, identifying problems, and developing recommendations that support Supply Chain management. Solves problems by considering courses of action within the framework of business goals and standards. Operates with minimal supervision and once given general assignments, prioritizes and executes tasks. Provides and communicates recommendations to upper management. Mentors and guides Supply Chain Analysts in daily work tasks. Must be a self-starter, detail oriented, able to support and lead multiple projects, possess excellent communication skills, work well with a team, interact with multiple levels and functions with the Supply Chain organization and Home Depot as a whole, and able to manage vendor/business relationships.

  • Daily project activity coordination for multiple large-scale initiatives

  • Developing and executing tracking for project and key organizational metrics to evaluate the performance to business case of those projects

  • Performs forecasting, development and implementation of process improvement opportunities associated with assigned projects

  • Performs analysis in support of requested business and systemic enhancements which will result in cost savings to the company

MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

70% Leads the end-to-end project development process

10% Researches and analyzes best practices for order management and fulfillment, business trends with customer focus

10% Works with the manager and project manager to provide updates on project status, issues, roadblocks, etc.

10% Takes the lead on new programs and initiatives for order management team

NATURE AND SCOPE

Position reports to Manager, Order Management

No direct reports

ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS

Environment:

Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.

Travel:

Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Must be eighteen years of age or older.

Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.

Education Required:

The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.

Years of Relevant Work Experience: 3 years

Physical Requirements:

Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated business/financial modeling capabilities with tools such as Excel and Access.

  • Demonstrated skills in applying statistical analysis principles to business challenges.

  • Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work well with others.

  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail; self-starter.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Statistics, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Math or Related Bachelor's Degree

  • Experience with Agile Methodology and Product Management principles

  • Proficient in: Microsoft Office Suite including Access, Excel, Powerpoint, Word and Visio.

  • Advanced Skills in: Project Managerment, SQL (Oracle, MS SQL Server, Google BigQuery), Tableau - especially in the areas of Data Visualization and Monitoring & Alerting dashboards and reporting

  • Strong analytical skills including demonstrated aptitude with data analysis and ability to generate insight from large and complex data sets
