Our Environmental team based in Auckland is looking for an Environmental Scientist/ Engineer to join their team at Principal / Associate Director level. A background in water quality with experience in water sensitive urban design is preferred, but not essential.

This role would suit an experienced Environmental Scientist with 15 – 20 years’ experience across a range of projects. The role provides technical leadership based on significant experience in water quality, water sensitive urban design and assessment of effects. Through a winner/doer model, you will build on your existing networks and develop new client relationships to enhance AECOM's position in the local market.
Manage projects including preparation and supervision of all deliverables and resources to meet contract requirements and provide successful outcomes for our clients
Provide technical expertise to resolve clients / project requirements and ensure maintenance of high technical standards
Build client relationships, identify opportunities and prepare bids for local and national clients
Effectively communicate in a professional manner with other project staff including subcontractors, suppliers, clients and the community to enhance working
Appropriate tertiary qualification
At least ten years' relevant experience, preferably in a consultancy environment.
Demonstrated commercial acumen
Proven results in building client relationships and business development skills
Effective collaboration, organisation, negotiation and teaming skills
Demonstrated experience in managing multi-disciplinary projects and meeting project goals and deliverables in a timely and profitable manner
Strong oral and written communication skills; report writing, development of proposals
Experience in successfully leading project teams
