HCA, Hospital Corporation of America Occupational Therapist PRN - Burn in Augusta, Georgia
Position Summary : The Occupational Therapist functions as a member of the healthcare team. The purpose is to provide medically prescribed occupational therapy programs in the burn center in accordance with national standards and administrative policies of the hospital. The goal is to restore function and prevent disability following burns or wounds, disease, injury, surgery, or loss of a body part in order to allow the patient to perform self-care and activities of daily living as independently as possible.
Occupational Therapy: Population Served Core competencies will be assessed primarily on the following patient population(s) served: Cardiac/cardiovascular, neurologic, orthopedic, spine care, wound and burn care, pulmonary including but not limited to: CVA/TIA, joint replacement, fractures, soft tissue injury, etc.
Minimum Requirements :Education: Bachelor of Science in occupational therapy from an accredited school. Licensure/Certifications: Current Georgia Physical Therapy License. Modalities Certified. BLS required upon hire. Experience: 2 years experience in an acute care setting desired
