As a member of the Support organization, your focus is to deliver post-sales support and solutions to the Oracle customer base while serving as an advocate for customer needs. This involves resolving post-sales non-technical customer inquiries via phone and electronic means, as well as, technical questions regarding the use of and troubleshooting for our Electronic Support Services. A primary point of contact for customers, you are responsible for facilitating customer relationships with Support and providing advice and assistance to internal Oracle employees on diverse customer situations and escalated issues.
As an Advisory Systems Engineer, you are expected to be an expert member of the problem-solving/avoidance team and be highly skilled in solving extremely complex (often previously unknown), critical customer issues. Performing the assigned duties with a high level of autonomy and reporting to management on customer status and technical matters on a regular basis, you will be expected to work with very limited guidance from management. Further, the Advisory Systems Engineer is sought by customers and Oracle employees to provide expert technical advice.

Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Because of substantial customer interfacing, a demonstrated ability to work with customers on an independent basis with exceptional communication skills, while consistently achieving the absolute highest levels of customer satisfaction. Both a Bachelors and Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent experience 8 years related experience prior to taking this position. In addition, experience with Oracle*s core products, applications, and tools.

TheDevOps Cloud Engineering Architect is a hands-on role focused on assistingOracle customer implement best practices to maximize the value of OracleDatabase, Oracle Middleware and Oracle ERP products. This is a customer facingrole that is accountable for the end-to-end customer cloud and on premisedeployment experience - architectural design sessions, specific implementationprojects and/or Proofs of Concepts. The ideal candidate will have experience incustomer facing roles and established success leading deep technicalarchitecture and application design discussions with customers to drive DevOps deploymentsand adoptions.

Ownand lead initiatives to define, design, and implement DevOps solutions whichincludes reference architectures, estimates, and costing
Providetechnical leadership, project guidance, and business development in variousmobile technology areas
Advisebusiness and technology delivery leadership on how to translate Oraclecustomers infrastructure and automation business requirements into executabletechnology solutions
Participatein customer s workshops and provide presentations of the proposed solution
Actas a subject matter expert on DevOps best practices
Performanalysis best practices and emerging concepts in DevOps, InfrastructureAutomation, and Enterprise Security
Actsas a technical liaison between clients, service engineering teams and support
Definecommon business and development processes, platform and tools usage for mobilesolutions and delivery
Reviewand audit of existing solution, design and system architecture
Serveas a systems and automation evangelist providing thought leadership,participating in conferences, authoring white papers, etc
Performprofiling, troubleshooting of existing solutions
_Desired Skills and Experience_
Broadknowledge of software development and software testing methodologies along withchange and configuration management practices in Linux-based environments
Strongknowledge of cloud environments
Strongscripting skills (Python, Ruby, Perl)
Experiencewith automated deployment, continuous integration, and release engineeringtools (Jenkins, Nagios, Zabbix, Cacti, New Relic, Graphite)
Strongknowledge of infrastructure automation tools (Puppet, Chef, Ansible)
Hands-onworking knowledge of Oracle Cloud or AWS or Azure a must
Priorconsulting, advisory, or professional services experience is preferred
Strongknowledge and expertise in DevOps solution delivery and strategy
Solidknowledge of design patterns and refactoring concepts
Practicalexpertise in performance tuning and optimization, bottleneck problems analysis
Activecommunity member and contributor to open source projects is a plus
Solidtechnical expertise and troubleshooting skills

5 years experience in design and implementation of DevOps on cloud
Provenability in performing rapid assessments of clients internal technologylandscape and targeting use cases and deployment targets for Public Cloudtechnology.
Abilityto on-board seed systems onto Public Cloud and provide guidance in the platformevaluation.
BS/MS(MS preferred) in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
