Eaton Corporation Engineering Technician in Aurora, Colorado
Eaton's Lighting Division is currently seeking an Engineering Technician to join our team. This position is based at our Aurora, CO facility. The Engineering Technician's primary function is to create part numbers, bills of material, and routings in SAP for all relevant engineering work.

In this function you will:
Accurately create bill of materials for standard product and product releases in SAP
Set up new part numbers in SAP by working closely with purchasing, vendors and accounting
Update existing bill of materials, routings and material masters when changes are necessary
Utilize VC configurators to export BOM’s for engineering
Create material variants using VC configurators when applicable
Create assembly instructions, installation instructions and submittal drawings in SolidWorks and AutoCAD
Be able to efficiently search the system for where parts are used
Actively analyze BOMs during creation and look for better ways to organize or simplify product structure tree
Upload and attach documents of different formats directly to materials in Enterprise Systems
Perform other related activities and special projects as assigned

Required (Basic) Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED from accredited institution
1 year SolidWorks 3D modeling or AutoCAD equivalent software experience
6 months MS Office experience (Excel focus)
6 months experience with SAP or another ERP system
6 months experience in data entry
No relocation - only candidates within 50 miles of Aurora, CO will be considered
Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future
Technical or engineering associates or bachelors degree
Wiring or circuits knowledge
Understanding of manufacturing processes
Experience within the lighting or electrical manufacturing industry
Ability to work overtime if needed.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Attention to detail and adaptability.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety and quality priorities.
Ability to perform all job functions in adherence to Eaton’s philosophy and values, policies as well as the Environmental, Health and Safety standards.
Technical aptitude (ability to read wiring diagrams and other technical drawings or engineering related documents).
