I. Position Summary: The SPD Manager is an individual who demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to manage, provide direction and supervision in a complex department, which services the perioperative and hospital settings. The SPD Manager oversees the daily operations of the sterile processing department, adhering to industry standards. The manager works closely with the OR staff and surgeons to provide service for all surgical specialties. The SPD Manager ensures compliance with regulatory requirements. The SPD Manager demonstrates an understanding of the budget process and staffing plan, implementing cost-effective strategies in staffing and supply management decisions. She/he participates in the interviewing, monitoring, coaching, evaluating and disciplining process. Activity in professional organizations encouraged. The SPD Manager supports the mission, vision, and values, goals and objectives of TMCA and the HealthONE organization.

- RN License or SPD Certification required. Compact license acceptable but must obtain Colorado RN License within 90 days of hire.
- Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
- High School Diploma required. If RN, Bachelors of Nursing required
- 2 years of SPD or perioperative nursing required.
One year management experience preferred * * Special Qualifications:
