The Concierge works collaboratively with other departments to ensure that the patient's needs are met. This position requires excellent customer service skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Qualifications/Specifications · Education:High school diploma or equivalent required. · Licensure/Certification:None required. · Experience:Minimum of one year experience in a related field. Healthcare experience is preferred. · Interpersonal Skills:Must be able to interact and communicate in English, both orally and written, with all levels of staff, physicians, patients, and families in an effective manner. Able to interact with all levels of staff and the public in a courteous manner. · Essential Technical/Motor Skills:Must be able to perform computer tasks at a user's level. · Essential Physical Requirements:Must be able to lift light objects up to 10 lbs. Must be able to walk and stand for prolonged periods of time. · Essential Mental Abilities:Individual must have ability to read, write, comprehend and communicate at the high school level in a professional manner. Must be able to work under stressful conditions, and must be able to maintain concentration while working with details for extended periods of time. · Essential Sensory Requirements:Must have corrected hearing and vision within a normal range. Must be a good listener, be able to read and interpret information quickly. · Exposure to hazards:This position is not constantly exposed to airborne or blood borne pathogens or radiologic or chemical hazards, other than those identified in the MSD as common to a business office setting. However, upon entry into clinical areas, or in meetings with patients or their families, something which occurs regularly, this position may be exposed to various infectious diseases or other toxins. · Other:Understands the mission and vision of the hospital.
