*Position Summary:

According to unit and hospital policies and procedures, the Cardiology Sonographer I is responsible for the performance of non-invasive cardiovascular procedures of adult echocardiography. This position works closely with other healthcare team members to facilitate exceptional patient care and efficient completion of diagnostic studies while also promoting optimal unit operations. The Sonographer I adheres to the customer service standards while maintaining a clean, efficient, and safe work environment. Education: Required: Approved ultrasound technology education program or ARDMS recommended relevant work experience. Preferred: Successful completion of an accredited cardiac sonography program.

Experience: Required: Six months experience performing echocardiograms.Clinical preceptorship time may qualify for this requirement. Preferred: One year experience performing adult echocardiograms; Proficiency in Stress Echo

Credentials: Required: BLS (CPR) certification; ARDMS (RDCS) or CCI registry in Cardiac Ultrasound
