Immigration Lead Specialist
The Immigration Specialist is responsible for providing immigration support, analysis and guidance to Deloitte Talent, candidates, and current Practitioners. The Immigration Specialist Team (IST) serves as a liaison between candidates and recruiters and interfaces with outside law firms to obtain needed guidance and ensure minimal turn-around time to keep recruiting process on track. The Immigration Specialist acts as point of contact for inquires pertaining to the immigration process, and serves as the liaison between the immigration law firms, the business, Business Line Immigration Champions, and Talent channels. The Immigration Specialist will provide employment-based immigration subject matter expertise and will work within multiple work streams including reporting, forecasting, data analysis, process improvement, quality control, and case volume management.
Work you ll do
Perform assessments for new hire candidates to obtain information/documentation related to prior immigration history needed to populate immigration profile
Escalate red-flag issues to recruiters and liaise with law firms to make determinations on recommendations for long-term employability
Provide information to candidate regarding Deloitte s immigration policies and programs; answer candidate questions regarding what is required for a timely onboarding with Deloitte
Present business leaders and program stakeholders with meaningful analytics and immigration regulation updates and its impact to the immigration program and firm s foreign national population via multiple communication channels/methods
Design and develop immigration resources for program stakeholders to include: FAQs, policies, and process documents Help drive H-1B Cap validation/initiation process for assigned population, in partnership with H-1B Cap Manager, Talent Stakeholders and law firms

Utilize critical thinking and immigration expertise to collaborate and communicate with Deloitte Immigration team members and leadership regarding issues and/or trends that may drive programmatic changes and help design and implement solutions
Ensure that IST data is maintained with a high degree of timeliness and accuracy, and conduct periodic audits and reviews
Maintain high level of proficiency in relevant Deloitte technology resources, including internal databases/systems; escalate and collaborate with necessary parties to resolve technical and data issues
Provide cross-functional and collaborative support across other NIV work streams as needed based on project needs and IST member skillset
Maintain an understanding of the business, markets, and service offerings within assigned population and across Deloitte, including the relevant skills and experience of the Deloitte Practitioners within assigned population
The US Immigration program is part of the Talent team of Deloitte Services LP in partnership with the Office of General Counsel. This team provides strategic immigration services to foreign nationals who work in the U.S., immigration program compliance oversight, and training to the management, Talent Services and the employees of the Deloitte U.S. Firms.
